HOW LONG DOES SMP LAST?

SMP is designed to last a number of years, typically between 1-2 years. Top ups will be needed to remain the colour & density. However, each individual client is different so the exact length of time is a little tricky to predict.
WHEN WILL I NEED A TOP UP?
Top ups vary from each client. While results can last between 1 - 2 years, minor colour top ups will be needed. This can vary depending on each client and personal preference. Aftercare needs to be maintained as a number factors such as lifestyle, sun exposure and individual immune system can affect the appearance of the treatment over time.
WILL IT HURT?
SMP has not been described as painful. Some clients have reported that its a mild discomfort but some clients have described the experience as quite relaxing and have fallen asleep during the treatment!
IS SMP THE SAME AS A NORMAL TATTOO
No! SMP is not like a normal tattoo. It has been referred to as a medical tattoo or hair tattoo but the technique is very different. SMP will only inject pigment in to the first few layers of the epidermis. The pigments used are different to tattoo ink. Specialist training and medical grade equipment is also used for this treatment.
HOW WILL I CHOOSE A HAIRLINE?
Each client treatment will be specifically tailored to their needs. Hairlines will be discussed at consultations and examples will be shown to suit their face
HOW MUCH DOES SMP COST
The cost of Scalp Micropigmentation can vary depending on each client. A full assessment will be carried out with a consultation and then a quote will be given. Prices start from £350. Payment plans can be discussed with your clinician
WILL I NEED TIME OFF WORK?
No you wont need time off work. This treatment is non invasive and non surgical. Clients may experience some redness or swelling but this will go down with 24 hours.
